Colourful, editable posters to advertise a spring / summer Fete or fundraiser, and to display next to stalls and games, giving information about cost and instructions on how to play.
Very helpful for ideas! Useful to let students know how each game works, and also the students / staff who are helping to run each stall. Template can be adjusted to suit your fundraiser.
Stall Posters and Activity Instructions PowerPoint is 23 slides, with posters and instructions for activities such as a Raffle, Knock the Cans Over, Cupcake Decorating, Photo Booth, Chocolate Tombola, the Golf Game, Guess the Number of Sweets in the Jar and the Bonus ball Lottery!
Eye-catching, colourful and a huge time-saver!
A set of seven plenary triangles to use with students to review learning. Offers a great insight into areas of confidence and understanding and next steps in their eyes.
Can be used with post-its and stuck onto the board before students leave, noted into books or onto whiteboards (a question at a time works well), or orally as a think-pair-share to get feedback.
Really helpful to inform planning, especially with challenging topics.
Presentation guiding students through the process of peer observation of behaviour in group work and the effects on learning. Based on the activity in the excellent 'The Teacher's Toolkit' by Paul Ginnis.
Used to great effect, a real behaviour-for-learning changer and very insightful for students. Definitely worth doing! I use every year with each class to install values and bring attention to the ripple effect of any behaviour that doesn't support learning. The feedback makes much more of a difference coming from their peers rather than me!
Use alongside a group activity (for example a reading text and questions), and allow time at the start of the lesson for an explanation and a full reflection at the end (15 minutes+).
Five A4 pictures of beautiful landscapes to print and display with key values of school or department.
French and English title posters to display alongside.
Excellent resource, fully differentiated, focusing on French New Year customs and traditions. Text is taken from an article online (link on document) and has been simplified and split into six paragraphs for ease of translation and discussion.
Fully differentiated with a Challenge extension question to extend HA learners - further researching 'La Galette des Rois'. Over a page of vocabulary, split into paragraphs to support LA.
A series of questions in English link to the article, with paragraph numbers in brackets to direct learners who require support to the right paragraph. Can easily be deleted to extend challenge if required.
Suitable for HA KS3 and KS4. Great fun to teach!
Excellent resource, outlining in four short paragraphs a series of Italian traditions and customs for New Year's Eve.
Document includes a short text, a series of questions in English to consolidate understanding, answers to the questions and helpful vocabulary. The text is adapted from a longer article online (link on worksheet) and can easily be lengthened if not challenging enough for group.
I use this with a year 7 and a year 10 Italian class, both several months into their Italian language studies. Acts as a great springboard for further discussion and cultural comparisons, and introduces them to a range of authentic vocabulary.
A perfect first lesson back in January, topical and interesting.
Great lesson, focusing on excuses for not responding positively to an invitation.
Based on 'Desolée mais...' spread in Expo 2 (Rouge). Can be taught as one or two lessons depending on ability of group - lots in here. 11 activities in total + 2 Starters and 2 Plenary games. I have split it into two lessons as best for my class, but second date and Starter slide can easily be deleted to make it into one lesson.
Fully animated with all answers. Directions for teacher if helpful under each slide. Differentiated with support and challenge options.
Lots of games, mini whiteboard activities etc. Verb tables and songs for 'devoir' and 'pouvoir'. A huge time saver and great fun to teach!
Worksheet with four activities relating to the numbers 1-10 in French. Answers included in separate document for ease of marking and reflection.
Fully differentiated with 'Challenge' activity and 'Want support' scaffold for each activity and number line. Activities gradually build in difficulty, finishing with a word search for numbers.
Makes a great lesson after repetition and song at the start and with bingo to finish.
Reinforces confidence and knowledge with basic numbers and draws on dictionary skills too, asking students to look up words such as 'roue' and 'ordinateur' to answer questions.
Huge time saver! Created for an observed lesson and took over 12 hours. Graded outstanding!
Excellent resource, working on the Italian Passato Prossimo. Fully animated with twenty different verbs in the infinitive and with their past participles formed, as well as auxiliary verb grids for 'avere' and 'essere'.
All answers provided along with directions for teacher on each slide. Fully differentiated with 'Challenge' and 'Want support?' options.
Set out as Instagram feed, using photographs and linking to a holiday in Orta, northern Italy, to engage students. Use of Twitter feeds and Random Fruit Machine Generator for whiteboard activities to make content as engaging as possible.
Designed to be followed by Italian Passato Prossimo Practice - Lesson and worksheet 2 of 2.
Excellent resource, adored by students, to track and chart progress. Set up to be used for grammar ('er', 'ir', 're', modal verbs and so on), but can be adapted to suit any learning objectives.
Students are assigned a character and given a grid at the start of term, or half-term, depending on how many objectives you wish to cover.
After each objective has been covered, they circle the traffic light for that square to represent their confidence and understanding - green for very confident, amber for okay but a little unsure, and red if they feel they still don't understand.
Very useful for teacher to glance over, to set activities in class as groups, or differentiated homework / prep. A fabulous insight into the progress of students individually and as a class that is subtle and fun for them.
In my experience they are very honest too as only they and you see the grid, rather than asking for thumbs or coloured cards to be held up in class.
Differentiated crossword for part-time jobs, linking to GCSE module of Education, Work and Future plans. Suitable also for HA KS3. Excellent starter or plenary. Fully animated with all answers.
