A quiz to review Explanations of Conformity, Asch, Zimbardo, Milgram using a jeopardy format. Excellent for revision, best used as a class activity

A series of resources for approximately 3 hours worth of teaching. The first lesson 'outline Milgram' consists of a video, summary task and paired discussion to consider ethical issues of the study. The second lesson starts with a review of the study and key figures related to the study, then this focuses on evaluation of Milgram with a framework using a P,E,E format. Finally the third lessons outlines and evaluates Milgrams variations including proximity, location and uniform. Within this lesson there is some research methods/maths embedded as well as an application style exam question. Attached is also a set of 'quiz quiz trade' cards which review all the content above as a plenary / starter or even revision task for students.

A lesson which outlines how to empower individuals within a H&SC setting such as promoting individualised care, promoting rights to dignity & independence, supporting beliefs, cultures and preferences. The attached powerpoint outlines all key information and the lesson ends with an exam question to put their learning into practice.

A 2 hour lesson which helps students to learn how people within H&SC settings 'ensure safety' of service users, staff and visitors. This lesson includes a a powerpoint presentation which outlines key information and some student activities including; a risk assessment, exam questions, matching task.

A lesson which helps students to outline and evaluate the cognitive interview. This includes a handout briefly summarising the cognitive interview, an evaluation matching task which students are required to identify the relevant point, evidence and explanation, an application task linked to a video clip of an incident as well as an exam question (with answer).

A powerpoint and resources to help students outline and evaluate the influence of anxiety on EWT. This includes a range of activities including creating a comic strip to summarise the 2 key studies (Yuille and Cutshall and Johnson and Scott), research methods questions linked to key studies, comparison task, evaluation prompts, 'spot the mistakes' model essay and a mini-quiz as a plenary.

A lesson which helps students outline and evaluate retrieval failure. This include a presentation which outline the key points of the theory. A handout which include 2 studies (Godden and Baddeley & Carter and Cassaday) and some evaluation prompts (with answers) to help students develop their own evaluation points. There is also a set of quiz quiz trade cards that might be useful for revision of interference theory and retrieval failure (useful as a plenary or starter next lesson)

Resources for between 2-3 lessons which helps learners to understand how the Behaviourist Perspective and Social Learning Theory can be applied to H&SC settings. This includes understanding challenging behaviour, behaviour shaping, changing behaviour, use of models to promote anti-discriminatory practice and promoting health education campaigns. There are a range of resources included such as a video, create your own health campaign task and a number of scenarios in which students can apply their own knowledge.

A lessons in which students will learn about interference theory (outline and evaluate) There are a number of activities embedded within the powerpoint including a summary of studies, research methods based questions and an application style essay.

A lesson (powerpoint and resources) to evaluate the working memory model (WMM). The lesson starts with a quick review task for the outline of WMM. Then the lesson include a range of activities including discussion based questions, experiments where students act as the participants to replicate research and ending with an essay plan

A lesson in which students will learn to outline the working memory model and also apply their knowledge of the model. The lesson requires students to summarise the WMM with a framework to structure their notes. The powerpoint includes an application style question for students to apply their knowledge of WMM. Finally there is a question and answer loop to review WMM which might be used as a handout or the questions/answers displayed around the classroom as a kind of 'treasure hunt' activity.

A lesson which outlines and evaluate types of Long-Term Memory (semantic, episodic and procedural). There are a range of suggested activities including some independent work summarising the types of LTM, a comparison task, and an evaluation task where students are given the 'evidence' but need to consider what the point and explanation might be. Finally there is an application style exam question.

There are powerpoints and appropriate handouts for 2 one hour lessons. The first to outline and apply knowledge of MSM and the second to evaluate MSM. The powerpoints have a range of activities and instructions included. There are a number of resources to support the lesson including a video of Clive Wearing, application tasks (with answers) and an essay plan (and model 12 mark answer).

Resources for 2+ lessons which outlines STM and LTM memory (capacity, coding, duration) as well as research into these. The first lesson includes a powerpoint ('coding and capacity') and handouts ('jacobs and baddeley' and 'evaluation grid P,E,E'). The second lesson includes a powerpoint 'duration of STM and LTM' and handout 'research duration of STM and LTM' The powerpoints have a number of activities embedded. The lessons are excellent for student engagement with both of them requiring students to be active participants in experiments to replicate many of these studies.

A full lesson which defines and gives examples of types of discrimination (e.g. indirect and direct) as well as how H&SC professionals and settings should promote anti-discrimination. There are a range of short activities including video, matching task (with answers), application task and book/research tasks (with suggested answers)

A lesson which outlines key humanist theories such as Maslow and Rogers as well as introducing students to idiographic and nomothetic methods of study. The lesson includes a card sort task, video, mini discussion tasks.

A lesson which includes a powerpoint and student worksheet. This helps students to understand/review Piaget's Stages of Cognitive Development and the Biological Perspective (including Gesell's Theory of Maturation, Influence of Genetics and the influence of nervous system and endocrine system). At the end of the lesson students review the nature nurture debate and apply their knowledge of this onto the psychological perspectives

This resource includes 2-3 hours worth of activities to enable students to outline and evaluate Zimbardo study. Lesson 1: A powerpoint and video link (approx 30-40 mins) for students to gain a good understanding of the Zimbardo study. Lesson 2: A review of the video and a detailed handout of the Zimbardo study followed by a 'bingo' style activity for students to review their knowledge. Lesson 3: A powerpoint, matching activity and model essay which helps students to be able to evaluate. Students will then consolidate their knowledge through a 'spot the mistakes' activity which when complete gives them a 'model essay' which they can create their own essay plan from.
