Lesson 2 - Species Extinction (Used with 11-14 students) The second lesson in my Conservation scheme of learning. This looks at the extinction of the Dodo. Rainforest Management Campaign A planning a rainforest campaign lesson. Students analyse a range of different campaigns, then plan their own, and eventually peer assess each others. This can be used as a lesson before they actually create their own campaigns. In my previous examples of delivering this lesson students have created Posters, Instagram accounts and videos. IGCSE/GCSE Urban Issues and Solutions - Traffic and Housing Lesson focused on building on brownfield/greenfield sites, consequences of traffic and research into how to solve them in London. Can be used for both IGCSE and GCSE. Ideas are my own or adapted from elsewhere.

Lesson focuses on the causes of uneven development within a country. Lesson involves: Hexagon task: students examine the causes of uneven development, annotating how different factors may influence development e.g. climate Ranking Activity: Lesson then looks at how infrastructure may influence development within a country. Students rank the different types of infrastructure and explain their choices Lesson finishes with students deciding what they think is the main reason All materials on the PPT.
