This hyperlinked PowerPoint covers fundamental and highly important vocabulary and grammar basics. Each page has a grid of 25 or 36 tiles. Each page has its opposite version (each page of Spanish word tiles has its equivalent in English). By clicking on the tiles the translation will be revealed. In the case of the vocab slides the other language will appear; in the case of the verb slides, the correct conjugation for the personal pronoun and tense will appear. Every slide has a link back to the menu page from which any page can be accessed. This is a perfect resource for all abilities but particularly good for more experienced learners to stretch themselves and test their knowledge of conjugation (irregulars) and also for weaker students to focus on key topics such as weather, questions words and common verb infinitives. The presentation covers the following: Top 25 Spanish verbs Months, days, seasons Conjunctions and connectives Question words Weather and time In addition to the vocabulary elements there are sections on: Regular -AR, -ER and -IR verb formation in all six major tenses Important irregular verbs in all six major tenses

These PowerPoints all have a similar style and go through the formation and use of the following tenses: Present Preterit Imperfect Present Perfect Conditional Future There are introductory slides going through the meanings of each tense (how we would use them in English) and then each one breaks down the formation and use of the tense being described. Stems and Endings are highlighted and there is advice on how to learn the endings (shortcuts) with references to patterns (similar endings between tenses). Lots of slides have elements which are revealed by clicking (highlighted endings for example). The later slides have examples of the tenses in use. As a series, the presentations are designed to build confidence not only with each new tense but with the structure of the six-part verb system. Recognition of the endings will help students identify the tenses when in use (good for reading exams).
