Each poem form the Power and Conflict cluster of Past and present anthology annotated in detail with relevant language, form, structure and contextual analysis. This is a useful revision tool for GCSE students. The more able can add their own annotations and colour code for language, form and structure. The least able can redact things they don't understand.

This is a lesson with resources for Y11 students studying Edexcel Lit. It begins with an extract from Keats which explains the reason he wrote the poem. This is returned to for more informed discussion twice in the lesson. There are differentiated activities looking at themes and then students annotate in groups, feed back to the class followed by fully annotated stanzas to ensure good understanding.
