This unit of work is focusing on helping students to start investigating career paths and choose their GCSE options. 2) Student Workbook
3) PowerPoints and additional resources

Two booklets to support mentoring 6th form students on a weekly basis. Each week they are asked to reflect on their successes, Their struggles and what they are going to do about them, and their learning.
The booklet also gets the students to think about their long term, medium term and short term goals.
As a tutor you can look through and see if any issues are arising and get ahead of them.
booklets are in editable format so you can adapt for your own schools reporting system.

I have given this lesson to year 12 and 13 but could be used for GCSE as well. It is based on the ideas in the Hectic Teacher’s guide to Independent Study
The powerpoint is made up of mini videos so needs to be viewed in presentation mode to see the whole show.
New Resource looking at developing cooperation, teamwork, negotiation, compromise and forming an opinion.
An adaption of the Balloon Debate but instead of students taking on roles, they are a committee choosing survivors. There are 2 or three stage to each scenario each one giving the students a little more information on the characters.
I have created 4 scenarios:
Lifeboat
Super Volcano Eruption
Zombie Outbreak
Neutron Star
I use a Charcoal peel off facemask to cover information on the character cards so information is drip fed to them rather than all at once.
