The PowerPoint contains starter activity, lesson objectives and plenary. There is also a set of activities; a match task where pupils match the kitchen brigade member in English, French and job description; an activity where pupils need to work out which members of the kitchen brigade helped in the preparation of certain dishes; a quiz to test knowledge. The set resources looks at intellectual development and introduces Piaget's Theory of cognitive development. There is a clip which I use alongside the worksheet and a PowerPoint Presentation with starter and plenary. I've also included flash cards for the stages of learning to read (need to be folded down the middle, glued and cut up).

PowerPoint presentation, blank timeline and images for pupils to create a timeline for the milestones of physical development. I use the Pamela Minett textbook for the actual milestones. There is not enough room for pupils to write the whole milestone so I get them to highlight key words and summarise the milestone in 20 words or less around the image.
