A comprehensive collection of slides which introduce the basic facial proportions of portrait drawing. Students are lead through front and side sketches in the style of Efran Malo before completing a cross hatching self portrait. The slides also cover dry point etching and printing using cereal boxes. These are linked to the work of Andy Warhol and colourful collage backgrounds. Lots of student examples are provided to aid this stage of the project. A digital Photopea tutorial is also provided for those learning from home or in need of extension work. Finally, a home task in the style of Vik Muniz allows students to think about meaning and concept within portraiture.
