Visual stimulus for one of art lesson based on Shadowology. These slides introduce the work of illustrator Vincent Bal and encourages students to work creatively in making their own designs. Originally used during distance online learning, students enjoyed working away for the screens and challenging their creative minds. It also acts as great stimulus into creative writing from the characters and senarios created.

2 x Greek Mythology grid drawing worksheets. A photograph of a statue of Medusa and one of Athena. Students are asked to copy the grid lines onto their A4 piece of paper and copy box for box from the sheet. A selection of slides to introduce students to the portrait paintings of Lucian Freud. The first task is a digital based tutorial which walks students through a low poly tutorial to create a geometric self portrait. This allows students to consider the face in a 3D format and appreciate the full range of skin tones within any face. Students then move on to applying these various tones by mixing colours and painting over their digital piece. Finally, students are encouraged to work in the style of Lucian Freud to complete their own expressive self portrait. They should be able to apply the skin tones and contour directions from tasks one and two to complete their piece.

A step by step guide for students to create posters in the style of Zeka Designs. The content helps in creating work based on European architecture but can be adapted to suit a portrait project. Written instructions for Photopea included, as well as analysis prompts to break down the contextual sources. Originally completed with Year 9 as an online project but also suitable for GCSE Photography and Graphic Design.

Step by step guide for students to create hands on and digital responses to the designer Sven Pfrommer. Students begin by drawing citiscapes in an illustrative manner using fineliners and tipex. Abstract acrylic backgrounds are created before the two are imposed on each other. The slides include very basic written instructions of how to complete the piece using Photopea, but can be adapted to Photoshop.
