It has been updated and is now even easier to use - all you’ll need is a printer, a pair of scissors, 11 envelopes and a willing class! This imaginative way of learning and testing these spellings is contained in 8 weekly parts, each including a humorous story setting the 12 words for the week in context. This booklet also contains an additional story assessing the 24 homophones, which many Year 5 and 6 pupils still struggle to use correctly in their writing. Story titles are imaginative and include; 'Vanessa and the Robot Dog,' 'The Story of the Richest Girl in the World, 'Marvo, Crusty and the Incredible Barrel Bet,' and 'Brave Sir John and the Smell of Fear.' to name but a few. This 60 page book is an essential resource for Year 5 and 6 teachers preparing for SATs and also useful for teachers in years 7 and 8 completing catch up programmes.
