The goold old 12 days of Christmas Maths Challenge- always keps KS2 occupied and doing some maths in the last few days! Happy Christmas!

Some word problems all require division and some require another operation too as they are multi-step. All Christmas themed and answers provided. I will be using these with years 5 and 6 next month Merry Christmas

Here are 6 different tasks I made. They are reasoning problems all based on some of the old Nrich maths problems for more able children upper KS2- but all altered and with a Christmas theme. I made these tasks for my class to focus on now the SATS are over. They are loving them so far. They love working in groups and presenting to the class. It also creates a healthy bit of competition. Both group tasks involve working collaboratively, budgeting, research , recording information and preparing a presentation.
