100s Board Place Value Jigsaws

(0)
The 100s board provides students with the opportunity to explore learning around number properties, place value and number sequencing. This resource is great for independent learning, math centers or take a worksheet home for homework. Two blank boards are provided for laying out jigsaw pieces. One is a blank grid. The second has the numbers 1-100 faintly visible for students who need an easier pathway to success. Worksheets can be cut and the pieces glued on to a blank 100s board or into the student’s workbook. The jigsaw pieces range in difficulty from pieces made up of columns and rows, to large regular shapes (i.e. rectangles) through to more complicated irregular shaped pieces. The preview shows all the worksheets, plus the black and white and colour versions of one of the print and cut jigsaws. This resource includes; 2 blank 100s boards – one blank grid and one grid with faint numbers A set of 11 jigsaw pieces, black and white A set of 11 jigsaw pieces, colour A set of 11 worksheets Teacher notes Each set has jigsaw pieces shapes as such; 10s columns 10s rows 5s rows 2x5 blocks Rectangle blocks of 4 numbers, 6 numbers and 9 numbers Large rectangle blocks of numbers Lots of ‘L’ shaped blocks Shapes that form a symmetrical pattern Mixed size shapes ‘Big L’ shapes Big ‘chunks’ Yeah, I did give them crazy names, but that’s what they look like to me!

Halloween Zentangles, No Prep Colouring Pages

These are 6 Halloween themed zentangle coloring-in sheets. I have created these to be easier than the typical zentangle, which can be very detailed and complicated. This allows younger students to be able to create zentangles in a shorter time frame. The colouring-in sheets can be used for Halloween themed academic work, fast finishers, bell ringers, independent work or indoor recess. The 6 images are; pumpkin, bat, haunted house, witch’s hat, candy corn and ghost. The ghost has two choices - open mouth or smiling. The candy corn has two zentangle options - easy and full. The images also come as blank outlines with no zentangle patterns in place, allowing for students to create their own patterns within the image. This resource includes; 15 zentangle images, with and without borders 15 blank outline images, with and without borders This is a total of 30 sheets. These zentangle images are not for commercial use in digital products.
Halloween Agamograph Art Activity

Halloween Agamograph Art Activity

Agamographs provide a fun unique way of viewing art. My students are fascinated and get so excited with this art idea. This resource is a hands-on Halloween themed activity that combines two separate images into one are piece, which the viewer can then see – from different angles - each picture independently. This activity involves coloring-in, cutting, gluing and folding. You will require; colouring-in materials (pencils, felts, etc), scissors, glue-sticks. This resource has 7 Halloween themed images (owl, jack-o-lantern basket, witch dress-up and cauldron, haunted house, spooky tree and graveyard, ghosts and candy), paired into all 21 combinations to put together and create the agamograph. This resource is excellent for creating a quick piece art to display. This also can give you an insight to your students’ favorite or best subjects at school! There are two levels of challenge; the final image is composed of 8 strips (4 strips for one Halloween image and 4 strips for the other), suitable for younger students the final image is composed of 16 strips (8 strips for one Halloween image and 8 strips for the other) I have also included blank templates for students to create their own two images to combine.
Zentangle Display Letters

Zentangle Display Letters

This is a set of alphabet display letters. They are basic zentangle designs that can be printed out in their colour versions or simply print out the blank outlines for colouring in. Can be used for display titles, class mottos or messages, workstation or small group centre areas, bulletin boards, doors, walls, windows, or hallways. I find when I laminate the letters the colours are more vibrant. Approximate size 6¾ inches (17.5cm). These can be enlarged or reduced to suit. Capital letters only. Each letter is on its own pdf sheet (set at landscape to best use font sizing). Includes; 26 black and white outline capital letters 26 colour zentangle capital letters
Easter Bunny in Disguise Writing

Easter Bunny in Disguise Writing

(0)
This is a fun Easter activity that integrates writing and a craft activity within a holiday theme. Easter Bunny in Disguise has three writing genres to choose from – Description, Narrative and Persuasion. Spring is here and the Easter Bunny is getting excited about delivering Easter gifts to all the children. But Easter Bunny is also worried about the Big Bad Wolf. The Big Bad Wolf will be hiding along the way and waiting to eat the Easter Bunny (the Wolf thinks the Easter Bunny is made of chocolate). Easter Bunny has decided to wear a disguise to fool the Big Bad Wolf. Students dress up Easter Bunny in one of the costume disguises. They can then follow this up with the opportunity to write about their disguise choice. In Descriptive Writing the students write a description of the Easter Bunny’s disguise. There is a Writing Planner for brainstorming and lined sheets for writing. In Narrative Writing the students write a story of how the Easter Bunny fooled the Big Bad Wolf by disguising itself. There is a Descriptive Writing Planner template for brainstorming and sequencing out the story. Lined sheets for writing are included. In Persuasive Writing the students brainstorm and write reasons why the Big Bag Wolf should not eat the Easter Bunny. The Persuasive Writing Brainstorm Planner Sheet provides a template for brainstorming disguise ideas. There are Brainstorm Planner Sheets provided for up to three reasons. These are available in three levels of recording – Dotted Line Basic Paper, Dotted Line Paper and Lined Paper. Six different disguise options are included; Pirate, Astronaut, Santa, Doctor, Woodcutter and Footballer. These are in various formats. This resource includes; Full page Easter Bunny in completed disguise (black and white, colour) ½ page Easter Bunny in completed disguise (black and white, colour) ½ page Easter Bunny with disguise elements to paste onto Easter Bunny (black and white, colour) Description Writing Planner Narrative Writing Planner Title Page for writing Persuasive Writing Planner sheet Dotted Paper Lined Paper Teacher Notes

Digital Escape Room - Lockdown

This resource is a digital escape room. It is a fun and engaging online activity. It is NO PREP and paperless. It can be used with students in small groups, individually or whole class. It can be used in class or in distance learning. All you need to do is share the Google Sites™ website link with your students and away they go! I have created this resource primarily as a fun warm-up activity to begin a period of learning about Space, or it can be used as a fun celebratory activity at the completion of a period of learning about Space. Or, simply a fun online digital Escape Room activity in itself. What is a digital escape room? A digital escape room is an online game where students solve a series of puzzles or problems to find clues to codes. Once they have all the codes they can unlock their way out of the digital escape room. Students work collaboratively in groups of 2 or 3 or independently in order to escape or breakout. This escape room has 4 codes to break. Escape rooms are fun and engaging for students! This escape room is a medium level for Year 5-7 and should take your students 15-45 minutes to complete, depending on their ability levels. This resource is a Google Sites webpage with several different types of links hidden within it. You will receive a single document. This document contains directions and instructions on how to use the resource, a link to the activity website and all the answers to the codes. The link can be copied and shared with students. This resource includes; Teacher notes, with instructions, link to activity website and all answers to codes Escape rooms promote; Working collaboratively Using problem solving skills Communication Critical thinking skills Technology skills Working together to reach a goal Having fun Learning how to navigate the page, search for clues, and input answers into the form in a specific format are great skills for students to acquire. Please note: This resource uses Google Sites. Some schools have placed security restrictions on their student accounts, and students cannot open content from users outside their organization. I unfortunately do not have any way to grant access to them in this situation. This has been very rare, but if you know your students’ access is limited, you may want to check to see if they can access it before planning to use this resource.
