To help students with their aural skills, I have made a worksheet for students to focus on four elements. Texture, dynamics, tempo, and instruments. I use this grid system for students to help them focus and listen to music outside of a question or exam paper. They simply fill in every music word they learn that corresponds to each element. e.g in ‘Tempo’ students can write allegro, largo… to build their vocabulary to describe tempo and so on.
