This is a great lesson for Year 7s or Year 8s. This uses a video on how castles were defended from Youtube (a copy of it is in this bundle or message me if you need a copy).
By the end of the lessons students should be able to describe and explain key features of medieval castles which were used to defend it and to explain how effective these were in keeping attackers at bay.
These are some ways in which you could cut down on your marking - could be amended to whatever exam board, year group.
There are label ideas for general marking, for exam feedback, and for self and peer assessment use too.
I have included extra information on how to use these as well.
You can also amend the grading to suit whatever your school has agreed with if you do not wish to use my examples.
