A series of cards that could be used as lesson ideas, extension activities or homework ideas.

I use this sheet to encourage my students to think about the characters in a story and what they are like. They can find a picture, name, age and an interesting fact based on what they know. I use it for a story we are reading and/or a story they are writing.

I like to use online Scavenger Hunts to check a range of skills; reading and comprehension, finding information online and recording. This one is for British Wildlife and includes answers.

A worksheet with animals down one side and their adaptions down the other to match up.

A selection of plants and animals to cut up and create food chains with. I then stuck them in my students books and they used colours to label producers and consumers etc.

An activity to get students thinking about how to recycle different items. I got my students to sort and then they added extra items they could think of.

After looking at the story of Hanukkah I used this to get the students to re-tell the story. They cut up the different parts and worked in pairs to put them in the correct order. We then drew a picture to go with each part to aid re-telling.

Whilst watching students can fill in the basic information on the sheet and feedback at the end.

This worksheet has stills from the Literacy Shed film 'The Planets'. There is a space next to each still for students to record their thoughts. I used the sheet for them to record descriptive words for each planet that they could use in a piece of descriptive writing.
