Simply choose a number for the children to write in the middle box (can be differentiated) and the children answer the questions surrounding it. One side is harder than the other, which can be used as a challenge to move them on. Simply print onto double sided paper and laminate for re-use throughout the year as either a maths starter or soft start to the day!
A positive behaviour management tool; children can earn marbles in the jar and once they have reached 30 can choose their reward (up to the teacher). Can be used with whole class reward tokens also available in my store.
Reward tokens that can be given out to promote positive behaviour. They include:
I can sit at the teachers desk today
I can have extra time in the reading corner today
I can be VIP for the day
I can play a game with a friend for 10mins
I can be line leader for the day
I can swap seats with someone for the day
I can sit by a friend for the day
Ultimately all down to the teachers discretion when these can be used but definitely an incentive for the kids!
*The reward token with the star can be used for physical rewards such as giving them a free rubber or pencil if you wish.
A bundle of lightbox inserts for the classroom including:
Welcome to Year 2! (please email me if you would like this to be edited to another year group, or to the name of your classroom).
Happy Earth Day!
Happy FRY DAY!
A simple yet effective tool to track children who have gone out of class to go to the toilet.
Children place their gumball (with their name on it) into the gumball machine when they are leaving to go to the toilet. When they come back they can place it under it so the teacher knows they have already been once during the lesson.
Tags with specified classroom jobs. These can be placed onto library pockets and multiple children can be allocated different jobs on a weekly basis by using lolly sticks to alternate between the library pockets :)
Editable maths bookmarks, that have useful information on one side, such as a 100 square, number line and 2, 5 and 10 times tables (targeted for year 2 but if you would like an alternative please email me). On the other side, teachers can edit it to put either the child's maths targets or steps to success.
