I love to sing! And I love to see children enjoy singing. That's why I write songs which I hope kids will enjoy singing as much as I love writing and teaching them. All songs come with performance and backing tracks as well as scores so you can start singing as soon as possible. Enjoy!

Castles

(17)
This is a thoughtful song about the stories and history of castles. I hope it will provoke discussion about what castles were used for and about how they are portrayed in stories as well as their role in our documented history.

We Wish You a Merry Christmas Backing Track

(4)
I have made this to use in the schools I teach in and thought it might be useful for other people to use in their Christmas celebrations. I've included the copy of the lyrics as they fit the music - the same music is repeated three times.

Cinderella Story

(3)
This song was written for a class assembly and goes through the traditional Cinderella story. It lends itself to actions and interpretation, and I often add a percussion accompaniment to the final line of each verse for added interest (just following the rhythm of the words).

Tudor song- Don't Forget Lady Jane Grey!

(7)
This is a fun song about the Tudor kings and queens. I’ve tried to create a medieval feel with the music too so I hope it’s more than just a song about facts. 'Henry the Seventh killed Richard the Third, First time the Tudor name was heard, Had two sons but his first son, Arthur died, So Henry the Eighth was the one who survived’… 'Lady Jane Grey, the nine days Queen, Shortest reign you’ve ever seen, Went to the block, her head went splat, ‘Cos Bloody Mary took the throne and that was that!’…

Climbing The Beanstalk is a lively song based on the Jack and The Beanstalk story. The resource comes with performance and backing tracks, piano score and lyrics. There is plenty of opportunity for creative actions and the lyrics vividly describe the way the beanstalk grows and how Jack is determined to carry on climbing, wherever it takes him.

Jack Frost - Song

This is a song about Jack Frost. It can be sung in two parts and comes with performance and backing tracks, lyrics sheet and score. My choirs love singing it, making the verses as frosty and spiky as they can to give that really shivery effect. I have used it successfully with children from key stages 1 & 2. A suitable song for the wintry months.
