I have been teaching Health and Social Care since 2005 and currently teach Level 3 learners in a sixth form college. Over the years I have developed extensive experience delivering vocational qualifications, preparing students for both coursework and external examinations, and supporting learners to achieve strong outcomes. Alongside teaching, I have worked as an author, examiner and assessment writer for several awarding organisations, which has given me valuable insight into how specifications are written, how assessments are marked and what examiners are really looking for in student responses. A significant part of my role has also involved pastoral support and tutoring, working closely with students to help them navigate both academic and personal challenges. This experience has shaped the way I design teaching resources, ensuring they are realistic, supportive and grounded in the real contexts of health and social care practice.
