Smallintestine's Shop

Hi, Head of History at a North Yorkshire school. I teach American West, Medicine, Weimar/Nazi Germany and Anglo-Saxon/Norman England to the Edexcel specification at GCSE. I am currently starting to upload these (original) lessons to the shop. When this process is complete I will begin uploading schemes of work and lessons for a variety of KS3 topics as well as AQA Tudor England (English History) and AQA Italian Unification (NEA). Please get in touch if you have any questions!

This is a full lesson on the US government policy towards Indians, including the Permanent Indian Frontier and the Indian Appropriations Act. It matches exactly the requirements of the Edexcel course, though can apply to others easily too. Resources are designed to be straightforward to access and guarantee students are taught precisely what is required by the spec. Let me know if you have any questions.

This is the first lesson taught at GCSE History at my school. It has been pre-empted by a booklet (also available separately) which is set as summer homework before the course begins. This focuses in on the key information that students require on the Indians moving forward into US policy etc. Let me know if you have any questions.

American West Plains Indians Booklet

This is a booklet that I set for my Y9 going into Y10. It sets them up with all the information they need on the Plains Indians without exhausting the first few lessons of Y10. It is based off the key information in the Pearson Active Learn textbook on the topic, though all topics created etc are my own. Use however you want of course but make sure to get rid of the school logo! Let me know if you have any questions.

Weimar/Nazi (Edexcel) Complete Guide

These guides are my pride and joy. Spent days constructing it based on the exam specification, numerous textbooks from the exam board etc. It consists of 30+ pages of simplified, core information on every topic on the Weimar and Nazi Germany topic for the Edexcel Course. It can also be adapted fairly easily to other course (having taught the AQA course previously, it would largely be applicable). Each topic/lesson is a page of A5. At the back is a grid of how to answer each exam question for that topic, including sentence starters. In my own school, I have these booklets printed A5 on distinct colour paper (different for each topic). Students then refer to these booklets regularly, with guidance on what page to revise for assessments and their regular knowledge tests. Of course these can be adapted greatly, but they are the absolute bedrock of history in the school that I teach. Of course, when you download these resources, I would suggest changing the school badge!

At the back is a grid of how to answer each exam question for that topic, including sentence starters. In the Medicine booklet there is also a grid showing all the possible factor connections. In my own school, I have these booklets printed A5 on distinct colour paper (different for each topic).
