A virtual tour of the Ecotech (Green Britain) Centre in the UK, for those who can’t go there for real! A good exploration of sustainability. Sadly, the Green Britain Centre shut down in February 2019. Effectively, this is the only way you can ‘visit’ the Centre for now! Why FREE? We have a unit on World Sport which covers that year’s major international sporting event. This lesson is about the participants of the FIFA World Cup 2014 in Brazil. Pupils learn were the countries are from, but also explore whether the wealth of a country influence success in the competition, or whether it wins the right to host it. This pack has been created by students in the Gifted & Talented Geography group from Framingham Earl High School, Norwich in the United Kingdom. We created this pack as part of a gift to our friends in Umbwi School, Dedza, which is our link school in Malawi as part of the Norwich-Dedza Partnership. The idea was to produce a low-tech visual resource which is honest about life in rural UK. We know it is not perfect, and we wish we had more time to reflect other parts of UK life that are not represented, but we had a lot of fun making it.
