I have been a Maths teacher for five years and love to make colourful and innovative resources that have a range of activities to keep your classes motivated and loving Maths!

When planning lessons with graphs, I find it so difficult to find differentiated questions with simple worksheets and answers included! So I have made this, and hopefully it will help some of you too!
I used this with my middle ability year 10, and it was the first time they had seen all of these graphs, apart from a quadratic.
All lessons include:
5 a day starter,
Learning objectives and progress tick slide,

I have used these lessons with year 7-10. Using the full lessons as introductions to the topic for year 7s and then putting activities from different lessons together for recaps for other years.

Everything you need to teach finding averages in KS3 and 4!
Here are some of my favourite lessons for teaching finding and comparing averages. This is including finding and comparing mode, median, mean and range from a list of data, from a stem and leaf diagram and from a frequency table!
All lessons contain:

Whole class introduction to creating and using Stem and Leaf diagrams using class info for everyone to be involved. Short exercise to ensure students can create stem and leaf diagrams correctly. Clear examples on how to find averages on the stem and leaf diagram with individual questions. Extension questions comparing averages from a dual stem and leaf diagram.

Averages from a frequency table.
Clear, well paced examples for the whole class to go through, with time for students to work through one average before moving onto the next. Finishing with two individual frequency tables to ensure progress and full understanding.

Comparing data.
This is a lesson I found on TES and loved to finish off finding averages. I have adapted it slightly so feel free to do the same, but I couldn’t leave it off as I think its a great group work lesson to finish the topic, or even make display work from!
Explanation of Primary and Secondary data, then given data from Olympians to compare to find who should be on the GB team. Great way for students to work together and practice answering questions with full sentences.

Hi Lessons on how to find and prove shapes are similar, with their areas and volumes! And how to find missing lengths, areas and volumes.
I used these lessons with a middle ability year 10 class, but can be mixed about for any ability or age.

Lesson 1:
Similar shapes.
Explains the definition of similar shapes and how to prove they are similar by finding all angles and sides are the same. Examples of how to find an use scale factor to prove this. Independent questions for students to work on with an exam style question for extension work.
I have also included some extra slides I did not get round to using on how to use ratio to find missing sides and name the shape game to finish off the lesson.
Lesson 2:
Finding area of similar shapes.
Clear, simple, animated examples on how to use linear scale factor to find area scale factor and therefore missing areas of similar shapes. Worksheet included for students to work on individually, as well as questions which can be displayed on the board.
Lesson 3:
Finding volume of similar shapes.
Extension from last lesson, using the linear scale factor to find the scale factor used for volume of similar shapes. Clear, simple, animated examples with worksheets for students to complete, as well as questions which can be displayed on the board.
Includes extension on working backwards to find the linear scale factors from area and volume scale factor, and extra extension activities which I did not get round to using myself.

Full topic on solving equations that I used with a middle ability year 8 class, but first few lessons can be used as an introduction to algebra with year 7, and it also goes to solving equations with fractions and to set up and solve equations that can be given to any year.

Add on to previous knowledge of everything we know on solving equations, but with advanced fractions, up to grade A work. Added tarsia which can be printed from PowerPoint.
Lesson 6:
Set up and solve!
Gone through algebraic terminology. Examples and questions of worded and shape questions where the equation must be set up before solved to find the unknown, then substituted back into the equation to find a missing side, angle etc.

Everything you need to introduce circles to KS3, as well as challenging KS4 classes with arc length and area of sectors. These lessons are ready to go, so I hope it saves you some time and effort!

Lesson 1 :
Circumference.
Whole lesson introducing parts of the circle and how to find the circumference of a circle. Challenges classes with finding perimeters or sectors as well as finding the diameter when given a circumference.
Lesson 2:
Area of circles.
Finding the area of a circle with functional extension questions and a printable differentiated worksheet to extend students.
Lesson 3:
Sectors of circles.
Extending how to find area of circles, by finding fractions of each circle. Shows examples of finding halves and quarters of circles to support understanding of how to find a fraction of the area of a full circle. Includes a functional pizza question to master the concept in real life situations!
Lesson 4:
Arc Length.
Using the same method used to find the area of sectors, to find arc length. Going through how we would find half and quarter of the circumference and questioning can be used to guide students in to how we would find a fifth of the circumference, eighth, etc and then onto more specific and difficult fractions of the circumference. Leads on from last lesson.
EXTRA!
I have added in an extra learning objective sheet that I made for a homework after the circle topic, to check understanding and progress. This worksheet can also be used in class.
The sheet includes a self assessment area for students.

I used these lessons with a middle ability year 7 lesson at the start of the year to see how their basic skills were with decimals, negatives, addition, subtraction, multiplication and division skills.
