Good to use in the case of covering lessons as most of the activities are self explanatory. Many drawings have been used from textbooks - repurposed with original activities to develop skills in DT and technical drawing. 29 page Engineering materials booklet covering the main introductory principles of metals, grain structures and properties; including facts, information, images and diagrams. It goes from basic materials properties through to grain structure, crystallisation and mechanical properties. There are no activities in the booklet itself however they could be easily produced from the large amount of content. Booklet is suited for post 16 - Level 3 introductory classes or advanced Level 2 classes, it could even be purposed for GCSE chemistry students. I produced this for a formative assessment during Solidedge teaching, in order to assess the progress of my whole cohort. I used a cloud based folder system for each student for me to assess the work. It could be easily be used for manual Technical drawing classes. Tech drawing powerpoint that starts by showing the different types of line involved in engineering drafting and moves on to an animation that explains the methods behind drawing circles in isometric projection. Following this are several activities that use the technique, advancing in complexity. You could easily produce a handout from the frames in the slides, allowing for differentiation in ability. When I use this resource I hide the slides that I don’t need and only use the parts that I want to use for a given lesson. Useful for a cover teacher or as introductory sessions into the subject of electricity and power. Appropriate for all ages, each set of slides uses descriptions and images to show its respective topic. The Battery Cell Construction document is for information or revision but could be used as a basis for activities if required. Engineering materials activity - Useful for having students complete for research and then to keep for revision purposes. Great for a cover session where the cover teacher might have IT use, students can complete a meaningful task that will be useful to them later in the course. Used with Level 1 and 2 BTEC Engineering students - only minimal teacher intervention required for students to show progress in engineering materials.

There is a description and activities on all kinds of engineering adhesives to aid in teaching students of BTEC and City & Guilds in engineering (or pretty much any skilled trade where adhesives would play a part) Feel free to chop and change whatever you like to suit your own preferences.
