Here we have a very powerful and engaging assembly that I ran for all year groups throughout the school (Year 7 to 13) - it shows just how diverse the content is, and the fact it is suitable for all! It covers some really important topics, and it is literally ready to go. Content includes: Definition of Social Media What do they post on Social Media? Once it is out there… (once posted, it is out there for all to see) The impact on others (suicide, depression, etc) What is a troll (video) Case Study - more information about a victim Facts and statistics about a Study on Trolling The impact on them (reputation, jobs, etc) What the police say GDPR Caroline Flack - including videos What to do if they see something potentially harmful The assembly worked really well - it took roughly 30 minutes but could have taken longer if we had more time available. Thanks!

Acts of Kindness Assembly

An assembly on the theme of ‘Acts of Kindness’. The assembly has easy to understand information, but will need some amending on a couple of slides where you talk about your specific school and your influences growing up. This went down well with students, and the following week we launched the ‘Kindness Card’.

Drama Terminology Booklet - KS3 & GCSE Drama

Hello, This is a Key Terms Drama Terminology Booklet. I use it with both KS3 and GCSE students, as it helps students to learn terminology and also reflect on their own work throughout the year. For each key word of phrase it asks students: This is when (the definition) I did this (an example) I was (feedback and your own opinion on performance) Terminology included: Split Scene Improvisation Spontaneous Improvisation Still Image/Freeze Frame Space and Levels Narration Thought Tracking Cross Cutting Role Play Script Work Mark the Moment Role on the Wall Hotseating Sound Collage Voice Stimulus Devising Mime Physical Theatre Movement Characterisation Music as Stimulus Success of lesson It can of course be edited to suit your needs. My students enjoy reflecting, and it prepares them for the written work of KS4 and KS5 courses. Tried and tested in the classroom! Thanks.

Racism Workbook - Behaviour / PSHCE

Here we have a workbook, based around the theme of Racism. It has been created for students to complete if they have been involved in an incident of this nature, helping them to reflect on their behaviour and make more positive choices moving forward. It has been a very successful tool at my school, when students complete this alongside a member of the Pastoral or Safeguarding Team. An excellent resource, which is ready to go. However it will come in Word format so you can add your own school logo or make any necessary tweaks/amendments.

The re are 6 lessons, but I teach each lesson over 2 lessons, because there are lots of tasks and development opportunities in the lessons. The lesson topics are as follows: Lesson 1 - 9/11 (The Falling Man Part 1) Lesson 2 - 9/11 (The Falling Man Part 2) Lesson 3 - 9/11 (final phone calls) Lesson 4 - The NHS / Pandemic Lesson 5 - Climate Change Lesson 6 - Knife Crime All resources are included and the lessons are ready to teach, though you may want to tweak for your own classes/school.
