This Anger Management Pack 'Fizzing like a Firework' is a No Prep pack containing 5 lesson plans, 5 lesson activities and a display pack! These lessons and activities teach students how to manage their anger and begin to self regulate by identifying what might be triggering them and how this feels. The pack works through how we have a choice to ignore these feelings until we explode like a firework, or we can use our newly learnt calming strategies to cool us off and put out the firework before we explode! The pack makes clear how we have the option, no matter how we are feeling, to try and use a calming strategy. The activities allow the students to have a go at a range of strategies, role play using them and discuss if they are effective! A brilliant resource for children with Autism, ADHD, Social Emotional and Mental Health, students dealing with anger management or great as a whole class activity to teach the all important skill of self regulation! Who is in school today? - Visual poster for children with Autism

(0)
This poster is a simple strategy to ensure your pupils know who is in class, at home or in school. I find this product really useful for pupils with Autism who find change of staff difficult. It helps pupils to deal with anxiety of you being out of class for PPA, staff absence or change of staff. It can be used in advance to prepare the pupils for the next day/ for the afternoon etc. It also works very nicely as part of a morning group session, allowing the pupils to sign themselves or their peers in to school. Just print small photographs of each pupil and staff and add Velcro to board. Best printed in A3 for a small class. Please leave feedback and follow for more Special Education resources.

Space TEACCH tasks – Independent Autism and SEN tasks - World Space Week

A brilliant Space themed TEACCH pack to add to your file folders. A brilliant addition to your teaching on World Space Week. Great for your pupils with Autism. A selection of early Maths, early Reading and early Writing tasks. The tasks included are: Colour sorting Sorting by size (big and small) (big, medium and small) Letter matching Number sequencing to 5 (2 levels included) Pencil control Matching picture to picture Matching picture to word When creating this resource, you will need to print it and cut out the instructed parts. Laminate, cut and add velcro. You can then add this into a folder or put it into a tray. TEACCH is an effective system for pupils with Autism. The structure allows pupils to work independently and master a skill. When using TEACCH the task to be completed is to be placed on the left hand-side - the pupil then completes the task and then places this into a finished box on the right-hand side. I would recommend using the same tasks for the specific session for around 4 - 6 weeks depending on level of the pupil. It is important to remember that when completing TEACCH it is about building independence and success at the task, you do not want to provide too much challenge. If the pupil can complete the task, this then means they can concentrate on working independently and can complete several tasks without the need for staff support. If the tasks are too tricky, the pupils will not be independent, may get up and wander or refuse to participate. I hope this resource is useful, if you have any questions about how to use it, please just ask!
