The goal of this lesson is to help students understand the importance of courage and to make them aware of the many times they have already shown it in their lives. This resource consists of a 20 slide PowerPoint or Google Slides lesson, which seeks to engage and involve the students though questions and powerful images, and a two-sided worksheet which reviews the concepts presented and discussed. I have used this Power Point presentation in whole school assemblies to recognize the greatness of Terry Fox and his journey while inspiring students to run to raise funds to continue his fight against cancer.
