These Character Emotions Charts can be used when reading to understand how a character is feeling or during writing to add emotions to stories. You may want to put a copy in students’ reading response journals and/or their writing journals. This freebie includes a color and black & white copy of two different charts. The first chart already provides a list of basic emotions and corresponding clip art. The second chart is for older students as it includes synonyms.
