I'm an ex-English teacher/Head of Department with 20 year's teaching experience. Currently, I'm taking a sabbatical from the chalk-face and enjoying pursuing other realms of educational endeavour ... In my shop, I hope you'll find practical, effective resources which will help to make your life as an English teacher just that little bit easier. Enjoy - and thanks for stopping by!

Unfortunately, due to copyright restrictions, these texts cannot be re-produced but reference to page and line numbers have been used to help teachers locate the extracts needed. Included are two mark schemes which should be used in conjunction with the generic assessment criteria for this exam provided by AQA.

(0)
A set of 3 assessment feedback sheets (with WWW/EBI and Now Try tasks all included for ease of marking) GCSE English Literature Shakespeare assessment criteria. Aimed at higher ability students who are targeting Bands 4 or 5. Also part of the pack are four ‘ladders for success’ - these summarise the key skills needed in AOs1 and 2 (Shakespeare Assessment) to achieve Bands 4 and 5: ideally, these should be printed 4 to a page then cut out and used as ‘bookmarks’ or to be stuck in margins at the start/end of assessments then colour-coded to show where students have used them.
