I have adapted some resources here. Start the lesson by giving out the article and getting students to highlight specific examples of sexism in the family. The PPT has numerous images to start with to discuss. There is a sheet on the PPT which will need printing off, it's the one about how liberal feminists can achieve their aims. Some students might need directing on that. And then there's a worksheet to go through. Students will need knowledge of Murdocks 4 functions in order to complete.

THIS WAS DESIGNED FOR SUMMER 2022 This is some source based activities building towards planning the 12 mark essay. Summer 2022 CIE History Paper 2 is on Soviet Control of Eastern Europe, so this is based on the November 2017 questions. Easily editable, and compatable with online, in class or blended learning. I would recommend using this with future cohorts as prep for paper 2. For future papers you could just edit the sources on past papers and keep the tasks the same.

This is an inquiry-based, structured and fully scaffolded series of lessons examining the role of Transnational Corporations on Global Politics. The tasks include detailed inquiries into the work of Twitter, Facebook, Apple and Amazon amongst others. There is ample detail on each task, with students constantly linking back to the core concepts of power, legitimacy, sovereignty and interdependence. There are eight tasks which are all differentiated, with all resources provided, including reading and videos. It is very discussion-based, with some research opportunities, so it should take at least four hour-long lessons due to the detail require of some of the tasks. This lesson is good to go as soon as your download it, and the lesson is easily adaptable and editable as there is no branding or fancy gimmicks on the slides. Links to the videos are in the notes on the slides and are also included in the file. Relevant articles are also provided in an easily accessible format. It will transfer easily to Teams, Google or any other online format but also works as a paper lesson. The Word Doc for students to work on a PPT to guide the lesson and provoke discussion.

I took a resource from here and made it into a coherent lesson. The videos are in the notes , thought they aren’t be any means essential. This is pretty simple. I would use this at the start of Yr 7, but could probably be used at KS2.

I took an ancient resource on here and updated it with activities and make it more student friendly. Designed with IGCSE in mind but advanced enough that can be used for A-Level. Two lessons worth, very discussion based. I have checked that all the videos are on YouTube as of 11/2019.

This lesson introduces the key concepts of The Cold War through the Chess match between Bobby Fischer and Boris Spassky. Activities are integrated into the PPT and on seperate sheets. Cut the Capitalism and Communism sheet in half. The song is “Rook House for Bobby” by I Like Trains. Anyone who likes getting relatively obscure independent post rock bands into their lessons should definitely enjoy this. I have taken some resources here and made them suitable for online learning. You will need to convert them to the appropriate format. They can also be used for classroom learning as, when and if we ever return to normal. Two lessons here, although only one document to work through. The PPT is focused on Lesson 1, which mainly focuses on the events of the Spanish Civil War itself. It has a cross curricular link with Art and Music and there is a Theory of Knowledge style question as the plenary. Lesson 2 is the second half of the document. These are based on some very old resources I had. I have since tidied them up and made them more accessible. Nothing special, just some graphic organisers to help students formulate some arguments around New Media. One sheet is designed to be an intro where they do two spider diagrams identifying forms of old and new media. Like I said, nothing special.

Just a simple graphic organiser designed to aid revision for the Crime and Deviance unit. Designed with IGCSE in mind, so not all boxes will end up getting filled up.

The IB DP Global Politics mark scheme for the Paper 1 10 mark essays and the Paper 2 25 mark essays is a bit weak, so I have made these sheets to help with the marking process. It’s basically the mark scheme put into boxes and another table with some general pointers. TIP: If in international school, get someone to translate into students first language. Then you can give feedback in a students native tongue plus English.

Print this off double sided and complete at the end of every method. Even the small ones like Semiology. I’ll stick this up for free so I can get a one star review and someone telling me it doesn’t contain any information.

This is a full lesson analysing contemporary feminism through Darts, specifically Fallon Sherrock at the Worlds in December 2019. YouTube links are in the notes. Tasks integrated in. Very niche, but very easy to teach. An interesting twist on feminism. EDIT: Added a PDF of the PPT as it was reported to not be working.

This is the basis of a CPD session I led on how to integrate and embed Theory of Knowledge across all subjects and age ranges across the school. It is a short powerpoint and some written resources which can be shared amongst colleagues. The video is me speaking through the PPT explaining the examples I have used. This is something I put together to scaffold and structure the HL extension video presentations. The PPT basically consists of information from the course guide and some other helpful information. The word document is a ten page planning document which structures the research and actual presentation across four stages. Also has tons of information in it. Basically, this saves you having to do any planning for the HL Extension task. Upload the document to ManageBac (or other), set the students deadlines for each stage, and go from there.

Just a planning document and powerpoint introducing and planning the IA Engagement activity. The Document is on A3. It works best as a live document.
