The children will paint their own snapshots from a key work of Impressionist art, which work as panels and come together to recreate the whole image. Planning for 7 weeks of Phase 3 phonics catch up teaching - created with small groups/boosters/interventions in mind. Planned for use in Year 2, but could be used in any year group once Phase 3 has been taught. Beginning with vowel diagraph ‘ai’. Organised into 7 weeks of teaching, with 3 sessions planned for per week, but entirely flexible and editable. Follows the Revisit/Review, Practice, Teach, Apply structure. Includes reading and writing opportunities in every session, as well as practical ‘games’ / activities to create a pacy and fun learning environment. Space to record assessment notes per child. Resources per session also listed. Further planned sessions will be uploaded in due course, tackling other Phase 3 sounds.
