I am currently a year 2 teacher. I have been teaching for 13 years across both KS1 and 2. I am literacy leader and this is my real passion. My real skill is lesson planning and my lessons are consistently judged as outstanding. I know how hard teaching can be and how time consuming so please have a look to see if any of my resources might be helpful and will save you time for that night out/early finish/Sunday lie-in. Most of my resources are for Year 2 and 4 and whole school literacy resources.

I taught this lesson to an able Year 4 class for my interview for my current job. My friend also used this lesson for another interview and also got the job. It is a diary writing lesson based on the short animation 'The Piano'. The children really enjoyed the session. I have included a lesson plan, PowerPoint/smart-board, images and word bank. Could be used for Year 4 or 5. The film can be found on YouTube or Vimeo.
