For the Spoken Language Endorsement for submission in 2017. I am in the process of creating a series of lessons that use topics from the new GCSE Literature specification. The lessons look at 'Porphyria's Lover' and Victorian context. Lesson One refers to videos available via AQA's website, under secure key materials.
There are 6 lessons that fully prepare the girls for the Spoken Language Endorsement. After the six lessons, students should prepare their presentation and complete their presentation outline form for submission. I have attached a marking form that we will be using when we watch their performances.
A range of different resources for ‘Romeo and Juliet.’ The PowerPoints cover the old AQA specification coursework component and the WJEC Literature coursework component. The focuses are Romeo’s strong feelings and love.
I have started to add lessons applicable to the new GCSE.
*2018: updated to include new lessons.
A series of lessons that look at extracts from Charles Dickens' novels: Oliver Twist and Great Expectations. There is an assessment looking at an extract from 'Wuthering Heights.' This is aimed at a top set Year 9 group and begins preparing them for the 19th century texts they will study at GCSE.
A SOW based on the play script. It has been created for a top set Year 8 group who have challenging targets. I will be adding lessons each week.
