Senior Writer - International Schools

Emma Seith

I cover international schools – so fee paying schools that cater for expatriates but also, increasingly, local families. Currently there are more than 15,000 international schools worldwide.

Demand from local students and families for international education has led to schools diversifying the curricula they offer – as well as the range of languages. Increasingly international schools are offering bilingual and even trilingual education and are looking to better support students who may not be proficient in the language of instruction. The sector is also rapidly growing.

In this complicated landscape we aim to try to support school leaders and teachers by sharing best practice; exploring issues that are important to them; keeping them up to date with the latest news impacting the sector; and giving them an insight into what it is like to live and work in different countries around the world.
