Edexcel GCSE Business - Effective Training and Development

A new range of materials aimed at supporting teachers of the Edexcel GCSE (9-1) in Business. This presentation is designed to cover the topic of effective training and development. It considers the important role that training and staff development plays in ensuring business success. It examines the benefits and drawbacks associated with formal training, informal training and self-learning and then considers the importance of ongoing training for all staff and the role of target setting and performance reviews. It concludes with an assessment of training’s role in motivating and retaining staff and how retraining is often needed to keep staff upto date with new technologies. The pack contains a starter and plenary activities, class activities, knowledge questions, key word definitions and an examination style question, all complete with suggested answers.
