Teaching Character Education? Showing gratitude has been proven to increase long-term well-being, improve health, relationships, emotions and help us bounce back from stressful experiences.

With the significant increase in stress and anxiety among our young people, it is more important than ever that as teachers, we are catering to our students’ emotional needs in the classroom.

This EDITABLE Gratitude Bell Ringers / Starter Prompts PowerPoint is the ideal way to help your students focus on the good aspects of their life and to appreciate their blessings – every one of us has something to be thankful for and these prompts will be sure to highlight it! The bell ringers contain 52 prompts, one for each week of the year. Each prompt is unique and encourages reflection on a wide range of life experiences, allowing for much more creativity and diversity in thinking and responses.

It is not labelled by date so can be started at any time in the year – new starts don’t have to only begin on 1st January! You can find the same prompts in the printable or digital version here!

These are ideal for using them as silent or discussion activities to start or end the school day, plus it's also great for teachers too: we can all take time to have an attitude of gratitude!
