Some children find it hard to trust others; to relax in a relationship and to allow someone else to lead or be in control. Some children require explicit teaching, modelling and experience of both leading and following. These activities are a great way to help build trust, help a child experience being in control and give up control all within a fun way. This helps to foster positive relationships with adults and their peers.
This resource includes the theory behind this work.
Instructions for implementing activities and supporting children.
A number of specific activity ideas.
