A frame for children to draw a picture of their family in.
We printed and laminated them once completed to stick up in the home corner like family photos!
Christmas themed subtraction problems for Reception (challenge) or Year 1.
Pictures used to represent numbers as a very simple introduction to algebra.
The numbers 0-20 on Autumn leaves. This resource can be printed out and laminated and cut into cards. The cards can be used for number activities such as matching quantities to the digit, or digit ordering. They can also be used for display. The numbers are on a photograph of a leaf which lends to a more neutral, natural aesthetic than illustrated/ drawn images. They would be perfect for use when learning about Autumn or whilst doing outdoor learning or forest school.
2 weeks of home learning activities to practice Phase 3 phonemes and graphemes with notes to support and guide parents to deliver the activities at home.
All activities only use items available at home - no printing or specific resources needed (just a pen, paper, old cereal box or card and a stick of chalk). All activities are practical and active with lots of fun opportunities for reading and writing.
This resource includes:

192 of real and fake words on coins for children to read and sort as trash (fake words) or treasure (real words).
Words contain all Phase 3 and 5 graphemes.

Preview makes the text look different to the actual resource, text is Comic Sans and all words fit on one line so are easy for the children to read, as shown in uploaded picture.
A presentation introducing ‘igh’ (Phase 3). This can be used for whole group teaching. This includes starter recap activity where children read Tricky Words to gain stars. It then introduces ‘igh’ as a phoneme and grapheme, through its use in single words, then within sentences with lots of reading opportunities for the children. There are then 2 activities for the children to complete: a naughts and crosses reading game which can be done as a whole group or in pairs, then a writing activity with self assessment opportunity.
I used with Reception but could be used with any age group learning or recapping the ‘igh’ sound in phonics.
Could easily be used for remote learning too.

Paired reading activity.
Fun writing activity - Children dress up in beards and ears to reinforce their learning to complete the activity. Required dressing up props are provided to be printed for this- its nice and interactive and fun, perfect for EYFS (my class loved it!)

UTW (Technology)- if children photograph themselves in their costumes!
As this is a whole session it could be used for remote learning too.
Phase 3 ‘oa’ presentation and reading activity + phase 3 digraph bingo
Fun presentation to teach Phase 3 ‘oa’ (as in goat) with activities.
There is a recap Phase 3 graphemes bingo boards for a starter, reading activities within the presentation and an active reading football game which is differentiated for reading words or sentences which include ‘oa’.
Note- to complete the reading activity you will need a ball and some space e.g. a hall or outdoors.

This power point can be used to introduce Phase 3 tricky word ‘me’. It begins with a recap activity of reading a caption and drawing it on a white board. Then the children are introduced to reading the Phase 3 tricky word ‘me’ and then have a writing activity to do. It is a fun way of introducing and practicing this word.
Fun presentation to teach the phase 3 ‘ow’ sound (ow as in cow).
Writing activity three ways- quick write on white boards or 2 differentiated worksheets to apply the sounds in words or sentences- depending on the evidence you need!

Power point activity for the interactive whiteboard where children need to complete the repeating patterns. They will develop the skills to identify, describe and continue patterns,
Differentiated cut and stick activity where children can then independently complete repeating patterns and also make their own. Children will practise the skills to identify, describe and continue patterns, The cutting also develops fine motor skills.
The patterns have pictures missing both at the end and in the middle and the resources include patterns with 2 and 3 repeats.

12 home learning activities covering different areas of maths in a Christmas festive theme.
Activities are all fun and practical and can be done easily at home with items commonly found in a house. There is information for parents to help them facilitate the activities too. Activities include baking, making shape pictures, counting decorations.

I asked children to choose 2 activities per week to complete and put an observation on Tapestry but you could alter this to suit your needs. Good to send out if children are away, isolating or if the class is shut, or just as regular home learning to support work done in class.
Phase 2 graphemes on power point slides ready to be printed A4 and laminated and used as flashcards for all kinds of phonics games or display. They are winter or snow flake themed. Great to support reading, writing or oral phonics work.
Phase 2 grapheme handwriting support cards. A star shows children where to start to form the letter. These can be printed and used as worksheets or laminated and used with drywipe pens. They are great for putting on the writing table or in the provision for all kinds of practical phonics fun e.g. making graphemes from play dough.
