14 Phase 2 phonics activity sheets giving opportunities for reading and writing of initial sounds, CVC words and sentences. There is also opportunities to demonstrate understanding of what the child has read.
Several activities are differentiated.
Activities include:

16 page PDF Early Years Transition booklet
It includes various activities for children to do at home or in nursery prior to moving into a school nursery or reception class.
Activities all encourage children to think about their new school and discuss it with a grown up. Some give space for children to draw their ideas or colour in, alongside key questions for adults to ask them as they complete the activity.
There are some pages for guided discussion such as around what they may do in their new setting, and discussion of the child’s feelings.
There are 5 pages of tips for parents on how they can support their children to have a good transition experience too and how to prepare their children for school.
This would work as a document to send home for families to complete, or to do some in nursery and send the tips home to parents.
18 Space themed home learning tasks for Nursery or Reception (Early Years)
There are a total of 18 activities that can easily be done at home split over two sheets. Activities are practical using items children will have at home. There are key questions to guide parents delivering the activities at home. The activities are topic based. They cover all areas of the EYFS curriculum. There are art projects, research ideas, movement, imaginative etc. There aren’t really stand alone phonics or maths activities but these subjects are touched upon in other activities too e.g. where writing, stories or shapes are involved. There are several activities which cover ‘Understanding the world’ (science).
Originally made for Covid school/ bubble closures and where children were asked to complete 3 tasks a week, however, it could be easily used as a half termly or termly home learning sheet where children complete one task a week or similar.
This can also be used as a basis for activity planning for the topic or used by support or cover staff.

The inputs and activities are suitable for young children and consist of a range of practical activities as well as a couple of work sheet style tasks. Printable resources are designed so that they can be used during an adult led task but also left in the provision for children to access independently later to practise their skills.
A great resource for an independent baking activity used in Reception (though could be used with children of other ages). I modeled how to make the cakes to my class, then put them in small, mixed ability groups to make the buns/ cupcakes. I did not help them at all unless they were really stuck and came to ask for help (except with the oven!) They knew that they had to help each other instead. It was amazing how well they did! 4 differentiated writing tasks for Early Years EYFS around the theme of Easter and Spring.
Design and describe an Easter egg (2 x differentiations)

Folding books so children can write their own Easter or Spring stories in provision or lesson time

10 writing prompts- these are pictures, which can be coloured in, with lines for a sentence to be written underneath describing the picture. These are suitable for children working at Phase 3 - 5 phonics.
1 sheet for reading opportunities aimed at Phase 3 readers. Children read the sentence and cut out the corresponding picture and stick it next to the sentence.

A great 28 page resource for an independent baking activity used in Reception (though could be used with children of other ages, particularly Year 1 or children with SEND).
I modelled how to make the biscuits (cookies) to my class, then put them in small, mixed ability groups to make the pies. I did not help them at all unless they were really stuck and came to ask for help (except with the oven!) They knew that they had to help each other instead. It was amazing how well they did! The children demonstrated fantastic mathematical language, teamwork, communication and problem solving skills. I do an independent baking tasks every so often as an assessment method. It’s a great activity to observe for assessment purposes.
