I trained as a teacher of secondary Mathematics and evolved into a Computing teacher as well. I offer mainly Mathematics resources written for the current Australian Curriculum (NSW). Luckily Mathematics is recognisable all over the world, so I hope that teachers in different countries can use some of my work.

Maths2MeasureMaths2Measure

ICT jigsaw

(0)
ICT jigsaw and answer sheet. Can be used as a review at the end of a lesson or when you need a non-computer activity. An alternative task can be prepared by copying the answer sheet onto different coloured sheets of paper (enough for half your class) and laminating them. Cut out all the squares from each sheet and place into a small resealable plastic bag. You would then have a class activity for pairs of students that could be reused many times.

Mixing paint
Maths2MeasureMaths2Measure

Mixing paint

(3)
This resource consists of 2 worksheets with solutions. Students are working with ratios to mix the same shade of paint each time. They are producing a series of equivalent ratios. Harder questions require them to work backwards. (Australian Curriculum) NSW MA4-7NA operates with ratios and rates, and explores their graphical representation
Volume of prisms
Maths2MeasureMaths2Measure

Volume of prisms

(3)
Single sided worksheet with answers. Students are given 2 types of prisms to find volumes. Formulas are given. Students need to calculate the base area of each prism then find the volume of the prism. Some questions require the students to think more deeply and work out the original measurements to get a certain volume. (Australian Curriculum) NSW MA4-14MG uses formulas to calculate the volume of prisms and cylinders and converts between units of volume.
Dominoes
Maths2MeasureMaths2Measure

Dominoes

(3)
A probability exercise with solutions. (Australian Curriculum) NSW MA4-21SP represents probabilities of simple and compound events
Simplifying algebra jigsaw
Maths2MeasureMaths2Measure

Simplifying algebra jigsaw

(0)
Simplifying algebra jigsaw and answer sheet. Can be used as a review at the end of a lesson. An alternative task can be prepared by copying the answer sheet onto different coloured sheets of paper (enough for half your class) and laminating them. Cut out all the shapes from each sheet and place into a small resealable plastic bag. You would then have a class activity for pairs of students that could be reused many times. (Australian Curriculum) NSW MA4-8NA generalises number properties to operate with algebraic expressions
Times tables jigsaw
Maths2MeasureMaths2Measure

Times tables jigsaw

(1)
Times tables jigsaw. Can be used as a review at the end of a lesson. Can be prepared by copying the answer sheet onto different coloured sheets of paper (enough for half your class) and laminating them. Cut out all the squares from each sheet and place into a small resealable plastic bag. You would then have a class activity for pairs of students that could be reused many times. (Australian Curriculum) NSW MA3-6NA selects and applies appropriate strategies for multiplication and division, and applies the order of operations to calculations involving more than one operation
Drawing prisms and pyramids
Maths2MeasureMaths2Measure

Drawing prisms and pyramids

(1)
Instructions for students to draw 3-dimensional shapes using Microsoft Word. Teacher's instruction sheet included. Useful activity for students as an ICT or Mathematics lesson or for teachers wishing to improve their computer expertise. (Australian Curriculum) NSW MA3-14MG identifies three-dimensional objects, including prisms and pyramids, on the basis of their properties, and visualises, sketches and constructs them given drawings of different views.
Mass conversions jigsaw
Maths2MeasureMaths2Measure

Mass conversions jigsaw

(0)
Mass calculation and conversion jigsaw and answer sheet. (Australian Curriculum) NSW A3-12MG selects and uses the appropriate unit and device to measure the masses of objects, and converts between units of mass
Volume of cylinders
Maths2MeasureMaths2Measure

Volume of cylinders

(2)
A worksheet with answers, where students are given the formula for volume of a cylinder. The students are encouraged to think carefully about how to complete the table. The sheet starts with straight forward questions then turns things around and the student has to work backwards to get their answers. (Australian Curriculum) NSW MA4-14MG uses formulas to calculate the volumes of prisms and cylinders, and converts between units of volume

Maths2MeasureMaths2Measure

Polypuzzle

(0)
An activity where students need to reproduce 22 shapes onto equilateral dot paper (provided), cut these shapes out, assemble them to form a hexagon and then glue onto a sheet of paper or in their book.
