This lesson moves students on from the basics of coding and using variables in Python and begins to introduce them to 2D LISTS data structure. With this lesson, students will learn a better way to store data, what 2D lists are, why they are used as well as their benefits i.e. slicing 2D lists, inserting data, sorting etc… Students are expected to have some prior knowledge of Python and should be comfortable with the following concepts: • Creating and using variables • If statements • Loops • Print and input functions • 1D list data structures This is a fun and engaging manner to teach students the concept of the list data structure in Python.
