The zip file comprises about 30 helps mats, in both French and Spanish, covering different grammatical points (past, future, conditional tenses; giving and justifying opinions, using intensifiers, adding more complex language, etc.) Also, you will find 2 worksheets on KS3 and KS4 DIRT strengths and targets (presented as codes to write on students’ book). During DIRT, students improve their work by using the corresponding help mats, each colour-coded to the target they belong to. Secondary School - Food and Healthy Lifestyle Unit - Exams This resource contains two 2020-2021 new IB style exams for Niveau Débutant on the unit “ la nourriture et la santé ”. One “expression écrite” exam (Critère D), asking students to create a dialogue between a waiter and a family at a French restaurant (between 100 and 150 words). To add difficulty, members of this family have allergies or follow a specific diet. One “expression orale” exam (Critère C), with 3 stimuli on the topic “Food and Healthy Lifestyle” with prompt questions to guide students in their 1 minute presentation. I also included a list of 33 potential questions teachers could ask their students during the interactive discussion (2minutes). For both exams, the new IB Assessment Criteria for the Niveau Débutant have been included. Both exams also include a presentation page where students will have space to write their own feedback (at the end of the exam). A teacher’s feedback section is also include on this front page. In this lesson, students are working on revising everything they have covered over the past 16 lessons of the unit. The lesson starts with creating a mindmap about the unit content (students are guided by the teacher but work by themselves and therefore will all create something different). Then, a revision worksheet can be handed out to the students to revise the key elements of the unit (to be done by themselves or in pairs/groups). Finally, students reflect on the content of this unit, checking that the Unit questions given at the start were answered (IB style questions). Students are given 10 photographs of children from around the world taken with the food they eat in an entire week.
