I hope this is useful for your students in prep for their summer exams.
All the questions and the extract are brand new, and the questions for part B link to the extract as they should in the real exam. I have reduced the price as this does not yet include model answers, however I will be producing these shortly and will increase the price when these are added.
Any questions, please let me know. Solidarity with all teachers at this challenging time!

Has been used to great success in my own classes.
Full mark Othello example by expert examiner for AQA Spec B Paper 1A
I used a guillotine to split up the SPEED chain in order to encourage students to think about crafting better paragraphs. They then used treasury tags to connect them. I based my answer on the 2019 Othello extract for Spec B - tragedy although it could be used to model any extract-based answer.
I then gave out the essay split into paragraphs. You may wish to alter for the ability of your students as this is highest Band 5 level. Once they had decided on the order of the essay they stuck it onto A3 and colour coded each AO.
I hope you find this lesson useful.
Full Brand New AQA A Level Literature Exam Papers 1 and 2 - Tragedy and Crime
These are straightforward to mark with any past Paper 1 or 2 mark scheme for AQA, however if you would like me to write you a bespoke mark scheme (perhaps if teaching for first time) or even some model answers at specific grades please feel free to email me at lsirr1986@gmail.com
I am also happy to make resources and model answers on request on any A Level Language, Literature or Lit/Lang combined module as I teach all three and examine also. I would like to be able to support other teachers to deliver high quality materials at this challenging time.
Full Walkthrough and Sources for GCSE English Language Paper 2: Section A Edexcel Reading
Two non-fiction resources and a full step by step guide on each question and precise guidance on times and approaches. Features “Angela’s Ashes” extract by Frank McCourt compared with a linked modern article on the impact of poverty.
A handy template learning journey that you can adapt for any two texts. I photocopy the learning journey in colour on A3 with the two A4 sources side by side on the reverse. It normally takes 3/4 lessons the first time round and then you can get faster and faster.
Could also very easily be adapted for AQA or other exam boards. Has been used really successfully with a range of students. I also have a number of other learning journeys such as this for NF which will be coming soon!
PLEASE NOTE - I NO LONGER HAVE A COPY OF THE EXAMPLE ANSWER THAT I USED TO USE AS PART OF THIS LESSON (AS MENTIONED IN THE COMMENTS HENCE I HAVE TAKEN THAT SLIDE OUT AND REDUCED THE PRICE - YOU COULD EASILY WRITE ONE UP OF YOUR OWN AND INCLUDE THIS TASK TOO)
Who was Seneca and how does he link to tragic literature? A Level Spec B
A short presentation with links to useful sites and videos with a full mark exemplar to an AQA Paper 1, Part A question which shows how to discuss Seneca. Good for high ability students or as flipped learning. Any queries, please don’t hesitate to ask, or if there is something you would like making bespoke for you, please let me know.

A really useful mini-knowledge organiser in bookmark form; students find this incredibly useful to work from. Adaptable as to what you have covered.
Includes contextual information on the reverse and how to write a response to an extract on the front.
Act 1 - full exam question from Act 1, scene ii
Model answer (full marks) based on the extract to demonstrate how to achieve the AOs and how to write academic paragraphs in response to an extract.
AQA GCSE Full Walking Talking English P2 Mock
I have created two lessons or one full WTM if you just use the second half of the presentation. The theme is on the danger of the sea and fits the pre-release info foe 2022. I have used this with a mixed and high ability group and both found it useful.
I would recommend wither writing your own examples for the slides following the questions (just a starter para) as we all have our own style or using a web cam (mine is like the one in the images) to show different students’ work after each writing bit to live model marking.
"Romeo and Juliet" - Capulet and Juliet essay
Could be used as a model for a full-mark Pearson iGCSE coursework, or an A Level analysis coursework for another exam board. I would use this as a live walkthrough of of how to structure the essay, or take one paragraph and really closely break it down as to how it has been composed.
I hope this helps anyone who is in need of a stretch and challenge exemplar; it could easily be adapted for a different group/ability.
This is marked out of AO1, AO2 and AO4 with 10 marks for each component.
A full learning journey for Section A, Paper 1, Edexcel GCSE
A self contained lesson (PPT/short video) and worksheet on “The Woman in Black” for 20th century prose. Would be good to use with younger year groups who are reading the novel (to transition to GCSE skills) or is suitable for KS4 classes too.

Fiction reading resources and example answer on Paper 1: Reading.
Based around DH Lawrence's The Rainbow.
This is for our Year 9's to be introduced to the section (Edexcel) but very easily adapted for AQA as it is not strictly 19th Century.

I printed the slides with pictures on them off as big handouts for note-making purposes.

An excellent and detailed lesson based on two non-fiction texts.
Includes full walkthrough and tips - designed to be used with a visualiser if possible although I have included a scan of my example for Q4.
English Literature AQA Specification B Full Paper 2A with example answers
Useful for students studying Atonement, Brighton Rock and Browning, Wilde and Crabbe. Has a further list of potential two-text questions which would be great to set as independent essays.
I also include two excellent example answers: one which shows how to write on an unseen crime extract (The Mousetrap) and one which is a two-text question based on the crime poems and Atonement.
It is worth noting that a play-script is likely to appear soon for the crime unseen component as it has been generally prose so far - this means it is useful for students to be aware of how to write about drama as an extract.
Thanks
