These lessons on pilgrimage include an introduction to pilgrimage, pilgrimage to Lourdes, the Holy Land and a mini assessment. These lessons include a range of tasks to help students understand and explore the relevance and history of pilgrimage in Christian traditions. These lessons relate to the new Edexcel GCSE syllabus within the 'Living a Christian Life' section.

The four lessons included in this bundle cover the Christian sacraments. These lessons explore Judaism through some of the major ancient Biblical events such as the founding of the covenant, the destruction of Soloman's Temple and the beginning of the Diaspora, through to more contemporary issues relating to stereotyping and antisemitism. The lessons include a range of interactive tasks that help students to engage experientially with some of the key narratives of Jewish history and identity as an ethnic and religious group.

These lessons look at 4 major rites of passage within the Christian tradition: baptism, confirmation, weddings and funerals. The structure of the lessons aims encourage students to think about the history and symbolism associated with these events and to assess whether some of the traditions need modernising.

These three lessons explore the differing theories of punishment (deterrence, rehabilitation, reform and retribution) and capital punishment; first through reflecting on the morality of capital punishment by looking at high profile murder cases and then investigating differing Christian attitudes to state sanctioned executions.
