There are 2 parts to these resources which I’ve used with my current/ ex students to help them prepare for Question 4 : Planning and ethical considerations for further research. This forms part of the external assessment for Unit 4: Enquiries into Current Research in Health and Social Care in the BTEC L3 Health and Social Care qualification. The Powerpoint includes starter activities on ethical issues, skills that researchers need to have, advice about how to hit mark band 4 for Question 4 and various other lesson activities. The handout contains student-friendly information about the key planning considerations that are crucial when researchers are designing their projects.

This forms part of the external assessment for Unit 4: Enquiries into Current Research in Health and Social Care in the BTEC L3 Health and Social Care qualification. The PowerPoint presentation, which includes starter/ plenary activities, content on Q2, how to structure the students’ answers and useful advice.

This resource includes 2 copies of retrieval practice sheets that students can fill in to help them with their revision for the Unit 2: Working in Health and Social Care exam. They cover various topics such as the job roles, the care settings, the responsibilities of care workers, monitoring methods and systems of regulation. The sheets follow a common sequence: There are 3 ‘who am I’ questions? Then there are various activities where the students have to fill in the blanks and finally there are ‘give at least 3 examples points’ tasks. They offer different levels of challenge and can used as forms of self-assessment, peer-assessment or teacher-assessment.

This forms part of the external assessment for Unit 4: Enquiries into Current Research in Health and Social Care in the BTEC L3 Health and Social Care qualification. There’s 1 PowerPoint presentation, which includes starter/ plenary activities, content/ advice on the meaning of the question and an activity based on January 2023’s Unit 4 article so the students will need access to this. In addition, the handout outlines to students how to structure their answer to cover the requirements of the question.

This a resource which I’ve used with my current/ ex students to help them prepare for Question 1: Suitability of research methods & Question 4 : Planning and ethical considerations for further research. This forms part of the external assessment for Unit 4: Enquiries into Current Research in Health and Social Care in the BTEC L3 Health and Social Care qualification. The Powerpoint includes definitions of triangulation (mixed-methods), why its useful & its different types. As we know, almost every Unit 4 Part A article includes more than 1 method & likewise so does the case study so this resource could be used for each Unit 4 exam.
