This Music pack is great for KS1 and KS2. It contains lots of ideas and display materials which would look great in a music room or in a music area in your classroom. The pictures and ideas would also be great for music lessons and discussions. The pack includes: A display title 'Music' which is decorated with music notes, Black and white drawings of lots of different musical instruments used in an orchestra- these have the instrument name on as well, A4 sized pictures of the instruments- these are great for displays and also for the children to colour in, Black and white and colour drawings of classroom percussion instruments, Two different music themed display borders- one with music and the other with small drawings of instruments- these can be printed as many times as you need for a display board of any size, Pictures of music notes and their names, Some simple rhymes to get you started, and a blank bordered page for you to write your own rhymes- these would look good made up in a book, Some idea lesson cards for teaching rhythm etc, Information cards about the different types of instruments, lots of question cards with questions to think about when listening to music- these would be good as prompt cards when listening to music in class or for display in a listening area in the classroom, Lots of cards with music themed words- these are all decorated with music.

A resource pack to support music in the Early Years This pack has been designed for ages 3-5 although it could be incorporated into music lessons throughout KS1 and for younger children. The resources are saved as PDF files to print or as Powerpoint files to use on your computer with sound. The pack includes: A set of coloured percussion instrument flash cards with instrument names on and without. Junk material challenge cards such as 'Can you make an instrument that makes a loud sound?', 'Can you make an instrument to shake' etc. Flash cards with pictures of children with suggestions for singing in different ways. A collection of decorated song sheets with songs and rhymes to encourage exploring sounds and instruments plus ideas on how to use them. A collection of decorated song sheets with new and familiar songs for the children to learn. A set of nursery rhyme cards along with props to print and laminate to use when singing the rhymes. A collection of pictures to print and add to a bag to make a singing sack where the children can choose a picture and sing the song. Sound word flashcards such as 'ting' and 'bang'. Instrument display pictures with photos of different instruments. Power point- an interactive Power point to listen to the sound and choose the correct instrument that made the sound and find out if they were right or wrong. Power point bingo- print the instrument board and click on a star to hear the sound and then see the picture. The person to cover all of their instruments first wins the game. Rhythm cards with a minibeast theme- clap or play the rhythm of the words and then use the smaller cards to make your own rhythms to copy. Colouring pictures of some different instruments. Flashcards of different ways to play instruments such as 'blow' and 'shake'. A matching pairs game to match the musical instruments. A collection of picture cards for children to make the sounds of the animals, vehicles etc using their mouths or instruments.
