I am a Science Teacher with 25 years experience and love producing resources. As one of my HoD's remarked "Your lesson plans and resources are outstanding, if only you could teach as good as your resources." Chemistry is my main subject, but have an interest in Pedagogy, especially CASE (Cognitive Acceleration through Science Education) and misconceptions and how to overcome them.

This KS4 resource contains worksheet questions (and answers) for all the Physics Required Practicals with each individual exam style 9-1 graded questions. It employs a lot of Maths, AQA working scientifically and AQA style exam questions with model answers.
It is normally used at the end of the practical as a test/check of the students understanding, but can also be used as a revision/homework activity. It can also be used as a cover lesson (with answers).
Students can also peer/self assess with the answer sheets and also indicate which part they found most difficult on the top right of the paper so that the teacher can flick through and see what needs covering again.
It contains:
Specific Heat Capacity, Thermal insulation, Resistance, I-V characteristics, Density. Light, Force and Extension, Acceleration, Waves in a solid and Waves in a liquid and Radiation and Absorption.

This booklet is suitable for home learning. It covers homeostasis, reflex arcs, eye, short and long sighted, kidneys, diabetes, auxins, geotropism, phototropism, menstrual cycle, contraception. pituitary gland, thermoregulation, pancreas and a few others.
All the information is there in the booklet for the Homeostasis and Response topic at KS4 at Foundation level (AQA, but is suitable for other exam boards). It may also be suitable for some upper KS3 students. It contains 17 content pages where on each page are keywords and definitions, an image/diagram, example and some simple questions and an extension question.

This is a helpsheet that uses the circle/ring the formula method to stop students from the misconception of changing the subscripted formula. Students can use this to help them answer questions until they don’t need this scaffolding.
There are a lot of balancing equation question sheets, but not many free methods. Hope this is useful.

Thank you (again)
This is a GCSE Physics resource for KS3 and KS4. It follows the new AQA Science course. It encourages students to think about the power equation. The practical invites them to calculate if they are more powerful than a kettle by planning a practical and testing it out.
Let the students find out if they are more powerful than a kettle, by looking at the Power rating on a kettle and then timing themselves (one at a time) running up a set of stairs.
You will find that if you have a high mass (like me) you are more powerful then the students who can run up fast, but not in half the time.
They will find out they are not quite as powerful as a kettle and they enjoyed the chance of being able to “run” when they are not normally allowed to do this.

This is a free quiz which covers the misconceptions we have around the Nativity and Christmas story. It can be used with any class and is multiple choice. It will take about 10- 15 minutes as a plenary before you break up, or at form time.
It’s a thank you for all the people who’ve bought science resources from me this year (or will do in future years)

This a Chemistry resource aimed at KS4 (and upper KS3) with 6 different concept maps for students to complete. It includes 1. Atoms, Elements, 2.Development of the Atom, 3. Development of Periodic Table and 4. Groups 7 and 0, 5. Group 1 and Transition Metals and 6. Mass, size and Electronic Structure.
Check out a free one (Development of the Atom) to try before you consider buying the full resource at:
https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/development-of-a-model-of-the-atom-concept-mapping-worksheet-12191441
It gives students incomplete concept maps for them to complete and complete ones to check against. The complete ones have images to aid memory.
It is based on AQA but can be used by other boards. It can be used in 1 lesson, but is better over a series of revision lessons, given as a graphic organiser, homework or as a plenary.
The resource contains sheets for more or less able and answer sheets for students to peer or self assess.

This is a compilation of booklets produced to help students studying for the Foundation level AQA Biology GCSE. They can be used in class or at home. They come with PowerPoints to show in class if needed.
They cover:
Ecology
Homeostasis
Infection and Response
Inheritance
Variation and Evolution
I used them in a behaviour unit as attendance affected learning/ I felt students could start where they left off and take the booklet home for revision at the end.

Update: Lowered the price if you have to teach this topic at this time
This resource of the different electrical models has moving parts to show the students how the model works if they were to see it in real life. It talks about the sweets/matches model, water models (radiator/waterfall), delivery model (coal to Power station) and the ball bearing (chains/rope/dominoes) model and now the Traffic in a City Model. Each model has an animation and asks the students what each part represents and how they can adapt the model to show series/parallel or higher voltage.
I have added a worksheet on each model so that students can evaluate each model on how good it is. A master worksheet for adding your own model and a sheet for students to come up with their own model to help their understanding.
If you want an animation that shows what happens in a circuit that I made for free (so you can see how bad (or good) my animation skills in powerpoint are, click here:
