(Instant?) Required Practical Display with Questions

(0)
Sit back and relax with a cup of tea whilst this very large file downloads and think how easy it will be to print out ALL 27 Required Practical Power Point/PDF photographs straight onto A4 with 18 different questions based around AQA exam questions. All is needed is to cut the questions in half and pin/staple them all up randomly with the photographs. The questions are specifically generic so they can be asked about almost any of the practicals and consequently they do not need to go next to any particular one, producing over 400 combinations of questions with images. The questions are colour coded for different levels with Red-Hard, Orange-Medium and Green-Easier (one could say differentiated, but one would be stretching the truth). Also included is the required practical placemat (worth a whole £1!) to help your students answer the questions on the display. Suggestions for Activities: I generally sit my students round the display and then ask them to chose a question and I (or another student) choose a practical or vice versa. Then we discuss the answer as a class or nominate another student or practical or question, (or stick them round my board and let the display soak into their minds through osmosis / diffusion or ask a question as a plenary) The set of images and questions can be printed smaller and students and given to groups of students who turn them face down and turn two over, an image and a question, which they then answer. This game works well and makes the question and required practical more random (like the exam). Font size is set at 80 pt so that it can be seen at about 10 feet away (Approx 72 pt per 10 ft of distance is the rule) I hope you enjoy this resource. If you have any comments, suggestions for improvements or suggestions for other resources please let me know. P.S. It is also in 3 separate files, so that you can give the chemistry one to the chemistry teacher, Physics one to the Physics teacher and ask them for a £1 to cover your costs. You can even use the photographs in your lesson ppts when doing that required practical… P.P.S. Finally, just imagine the time you will save not asking the technician (or getting it yourself in my case) to get out ALL the required practical apparatus (including making an Agar plate as well) for all 27 practicals, setting them up and photographing them, or trying to remember to photograph each one as you go through the year… P.P.P.S. That is my thumb, it was a nasty accident with hammer, lets not go there…
