This resource has been designed for students working towards the AQA Entry Level Certificate in Maths who are working at Entry Level 1. It contains an age-appropriate, 100 slide PowerPoint lesson and a 27-page workbook on subtraction - Component 2: the four operations.
These resources will help pupils to achieve these outcomes:
Subtract one number up to 20 from another
Understand and use the – and = signs.
Understand the key words – minus, take, take away, subtract, find the difference, how much more, how much less.
Use subtraction to solve simple number problems
Understand that subtraction is the inverse of addition
