Gustar guided conversation (Speaking practice)

GREAT for speaking practice, review, or speaking assessment.

You and a partner will take turns saying the statements expressing your likes.

Task for each partner: Ask two follow up information questions in the present tense. Each question must start with a question word and should be 5-6 words long. Answer each question in a complete sentence.

Note: This activity is meant to be done in pairs and there are 20 statements provided using gustar (10 for each partner).

*All statements start with “Me gusta + infinitive”.

Page 1 includes the following:

Formula for forming information questions, list of 21 question words with their English translation, present tense -ar, -er, -ir verb endings, and a list of 27 -ar, -er, -ir infintives (9 of each) with their English translation, if students want to use them.

Page 2 includes the 20 statements with Gustar.

Example:

Person A: Me gusta esquiar.

Person B: Me gusta leer.
