This lesson goes through how to use a prime factor trees to find the highest common multiple and lowest common factor. The settling starter goes over using venn diagrams. The next slide is the learning objective followed by the starter which goes over finding a product of prime factors which they have done in the previous lesson. The main part of the lesson has two examples followed by a notes page so they can put a worked example in their books. There are then some differentiated questions to have a go at. If anyone is still struggling there is a qwizdom with the venn diagrams provided. Finally the plenary is an exit ticket which is on a word document ready to print out.

It is planned with an 80 min lesson in mind but could be altered for a shorter lesson.
