Irregular preterit sentence practice with conjugations

Verbs included:

I stem verbs: Hacer, Venir, Querer

U stem verbs: Andar, Estar, Saber, Poner, Poder, Tener

J stem verbs: Decir, Traer, Conducir

Part 1: For each infinitive, write the Yo irregular preterit conjugation and add 4-5 words to create an original sentence.

*Note: All 12 sentences will be in the Yo conjugation.

Example:

Template: Infinitive + Meaning + Yo + Conjugated verb + Rest (Add 4-5 words)

Hacer (to do, to make ) + Yo __________ + _________________

Part 2: For each infinitive, write the irregular preterit conjugation. Attach the endings to the irregular stem.

*Students will write the conjugations for Tú , Él / Ella / Ud. , Nosotros , Vosotros ,Ellos / Ellas / Uds. in the template provided. *Verb endings are included in the template for reference.

This practice can be used for classwork, homework, quiz, review, entry / exit slip, or sub plans.
